An Important Message From Principal Jim Huth:
Dear Parents and Guardians of Bishop Luers Students,
Bishop Luers High School administration, faculty, and staff would like to thank you for a job well done throughout the first semester of the school year. You have done a great job abiding by the protocols of our Back to School Plan and protecting our faculty, staff, and students.
However, due to a staffing shortage in an essential department, Bishop Luers High School will start in MODE 3 after Thanksgiving break. As noted in our Back to School Plan (posted on the front page of our website), Mode 3 is full virtual learning. In this mode, students will be engaged in eLearning from home. As a result, Bishop Luers High School will not have school on Monday, November 30. In addition, virtual learning will take place Tuesday, December 1 through Friday, December 4 for all students.
On Monday, November 30, Bishop Luers High School will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for students to arrive and retrieve class materials including his/her laptop. Teachers will also be in the building preparing for the week, as well as other staff members.
On Tuesday, December 1, through Friday, December 4, virtual learning will be expected for ALL students. Attached below are the virtual learning expectations. Please read the expectations carefully and contact Mr. Hawkins at firstname.lastname@example.org if there are any questions. Students will be expected to be virtually present in the classroom on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If your son/daughter is not able to attend class virtually due to sickness, appointment, or any parental excuse, please contact the front office.
Please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay vigilant!
Happy Thanksgiving! God Bless!
In Luers Spirit,
James A. Huth
